More Nginx SSL Performance Tips

Well, actually, just one, and it’s not even mine.

Matt Stancliff benchmarked a few different methods of SSL termination and found that nginx sucked rocks relative to the other options. However, it turns out the comparison wasn’t as balanced as he originally thought, and discovered that the SSL ciphers you use are quite important.

As an aside, I like Matt’s “benchmark everything” philosophy.
