Perhaps It Wasn't The Marketing...

It is common wisdom that one of the major reasons that Microsoft has prevailed in the software industry is because it is supremely good at marketing it's products. After watching a Windows 386 promotional video, I'm starting to doubt the validity of that wisdom. To paraphrase Mr. Burns, "Smithers, I'm beginning to think that Microsoft is not the brilliant marketing machine I thought it was".
